Jess Kay's TEAPOT is as deliciously, startlingly, jaw-droppingly OMG when the penny drops, as it is eye-poppingly thrilling in its neo-classical contours, tumbling perspectives and metamorphoses.

Highly recommended for those who loved the fluid transitions in Freddy Carrasco's GLEEM (Page 45 Comicbook Of The Month, July 2024), Jess Kay's TEAPOT is one of the bravest and most brilliant self-publishing debuts I've ever encountered in that its first several pages of child-friendly, wibbly wobbly welcome - sometimes all that a casual browser will ever encounter - not only belie the stunning draughtsmanship that follows but serve to maximise the horror / hilarity of that exquisite moment of self-awareness / consumption.

The creator writes:

"A teapot has an existential crisis."

Perfect.
